BEAUTY BAY showed an upward trend in downloads, starting at 611K in the last week of December 2020 and peaking at 1.3M in the last week of January 2021. The weekly active users (WAUs) also increased from 3.6M to a high of 5.4M at the end of March.
Nykaa Fashion - Shopping App experienced a surge in downloads in late February, reaching 561K, followed by a decline to 110K by the end of March. The WAUs peaked at 199K in late February but saw a decrease to 39K by the end of March.
IPSY: Personalized Beauty had its highest number of downloads at 233K in the last week of January, with a subsequent drop to 156K by the end of March. WAUs started at 3.8M and ended slightly lower at 3.4M.
Nykaa – Makeup/Beauty Shopping saw its download numbers peak at 309K in early March and then decline to 75K by the close of the quarter. WAUs showed a similar pattern, with a high of 418K in late February, decreasing to 206K by the end of March.
Lastly, Ulta Beauty: Makeup & Skincare maintained a relatively steady download rate, peaking at 34K in mid-March. The WAUs saw a slight upward trend from 215K to 236K in the same period, before ending at 200K.
